Feeling unlucky? Try yellow underwear!

Anyone feeling in need of a cash windfall may wish to consider wearing yellow underwear.

This is the colour traditionally worn by Brazilians on New Year’s Eve in order to bring luck for the coming year and, according to the Telegraph, it is proving especially popular for everyday wear as people seek to ward off the effects of the global economic turmoil.
Denise Areal, who works for one of Brazil’s biggest underwear producers, said: “We’ve sold out 100,000 pairs and we don’t have time to make any more. This year yellow has taken over.”
Tradition in the Latin American country dictates that women should wash their yellow underwear, then wear it again inside out on the first Friday of the year for maximum luck.
Meanwhile, red underwear means passion and pink underwear means love – it seems like it’s a modern version of how people used to give their loved ones roses to express their feelings.
Anyone wanting to hint about red underwear to their partners this Christmas could consider sending them a link to lingerieplease.co.uk, which has a range of new sets in an array of colours for the festive season, including Louise Redkapp’s new range for Triumph.
