Sort your bras out, ladies!

A new survey has revealed that a shocking number of women are not paying enough attention to their breasts and, more specifically, their bras.

According to a poll carried out by the British Chiropractic Association (BCA), despite the fact that 47 per cent claim their breast size affects their posture, only one per cent consider a supportive bra to be important.

In addition, nearly a fifth of women have never been measured up for a bra and 83 per cent simply pick them because they like the appearance.

Consequently, 77 per cent of women are walking around in the wrong size bra.

Tim Hutchful, spokesperson for the BCA, said the findings are quite shocking and that women should think of bras as suspension bridges.

“You need a well engineered bra so your shoulders don’t take all of the strain and end up doing all of the work. Bras that don’t fit will affect the shoulders and chest and will almost certainly cause back pain as you get older,” he remarked.

According to the Telegraph, British women’s breasts are growing.

While ten years ago the average bra size was a 34B, today it is 36C, with an estimated 40 per cent of women taking a D cup or above.
