Dark lingerie ‘in’ for bridalwear
Monday, December 15th, 2008Anyone looking forward to their wedding day may wish to take some extra time to plan their bridal lingerie after the predictions of some experts.
In an article for the Indian newspaper Daily News and Analysis, Dalbir Bains from Boudoir London and Varsha Bhawnani, wardrobe consultant at Vinegar, have highlighted some trends that they think will be big in the world of wedding underwear for the coming months.
Firstly and most importantly, the lingerie must act to support the dress and should be as soft as possible in order to avoid discomfort at the altar.
Ms Bains advises forthcoming brides to opt for silks and satins in jewel colours like purple, blue and red.
However, she adds that graphic floral patterns and animal prints are also tipped to be trendy this season.
Meanwhile, Ms Bhawnani recommends red and black for a sensual appearance, as well as embellishments.
“Sequins, crystal beading, pearl buttons on lace, silk on sheer lingerie are going to become a rage,” she commented.
However, anyone with a light coloured dress may wish to opt for more traditional lingerie if they wish to avoid it showing up on the wedding photos!
Why not plump for the Masquerade Hestia Basque or the Balconette from the same range, both from Panache and available at lingerieplease.co.uk.
