However, by purchasing a few simple pieces, Caitlin Gray of College News argues that you can update your underwear and start feeling confident and sexy again.
Firstly, she suggests one completely impractical item that would serve you well on a cosy night in and that will empower the wearer.
Next, one for the man in your life – Ms Gray points out that rather than making you feel like an object, it will actually allow you to bask in the glow that FHM models must get. For this, a basque or stockings and suspenders will do just fine.
Thirdly, get a showstopper which glorifies your best asset.
“If it’s your rear end, you need to find something that absolutely glorifies it. If it’s your decolletage, buy something that causes angels to fly down and sing its praises when you wear,” Ms Gray urges.
Finally, buy one just for you. Although nobody may see it, you have the satisfaction of knowing it’s there under your clothes – perfect for when you need a confidence boost for work, perhaps!
