Underwear thief ‘knicked’ in Japan
A serial thief of women’s underwear has finally been collared in Japan after an eight-year crime spree.
Takao Sudo, 43, was apprehended after being spotted stealing four pairs of underwear from a washing line in Utsunomiya City.
However, when police accompanied him back to the home he shares with his mum and dad, they were in for a surprise.
After a search, they found more than 1,600 pairs of knickers and bras in his room, which he admitted to stealing over a period of eight years.
He was found to be running a website called Underwear Collector, which provided an internet log of his villainous escapades.
Police have now seized the lingerie, which filled 30 large cardboard boxes.
Meanwhile, in other underwear news, Tom Jones has revealed that he still isn’t fed up of women throwing their knickers at him when he performs.
The Welsh crooner, who has recently ditched the hair dye in favour of a natural grey look, told the Metro that the trend has become a bit of a laugh.
“I used to capitalise on it a bit, you know, pick them up and wipe my brow with them and stuff,” he added.
Yuck! At least the underwear thief’s smalls were clean, Tom!
