How can you recycle your lingerie?
We go through many bras ( on average every woman has 9 bras in her lingerie drawer! ) and as well as getting involed in our charity campaign why not do something fun with them. We have listed some of our favourite ideas below; please add your own by commenting below.
1. Customise your lingerie – boring white bra? why not jazz it up with french lace, sequins or other trimmings from your local haberdashery shop. Unique and easy on the purse strings.
2. Bra- tastic – Why not create your own art installation with that favourite piece of lingerie that doesn’t fit any more. Think boudoir chic, and it makes you feel less guilty about not wearing it.
3. Lavender pouch for your lingerie drawer – Take dried lavender and simply sew the two cups together to create a simple yet pretty perfumed pouch that will make your lingerie drawer smell fantastic.
4. Perfect for anyone who does quilting – Often beautifully decorated with gorgeous lace or sequins they are perfect for anyone who creates quilting.
5. Handbag chic – Jennifer Stella, the creator of Bravura has came up with the fantastic idea of making handbags out of bras….we recommend only doing this with clean pretty bras though!
