Don’t rush to get your knickers off, it’s all just a hoax!
For some time now we have been hearing of the ‘Flesh Eating Underwear’ that threatens women worldwide. Crazy warning have circulated the globe via the internet warning women that they should wash all new underwear before first wearing it because it harvests flesh eating bacteria.
This has caused a stir, with many women panicked into stripped off as soon as they read the email.
Don’t Panic! This is a hoax. Underwear has never been proven to contain such bacteria and there is no explanation as to why this should occur only in women’s underwear, the emails have no mention of men’s undies or any other type of garment. Why would such a problem only affect one type of textiles product? What’s next… ‘Table eating tablecloth’? Or ‘Mattress chomping bedspread’?
It is believed that the emails contain some racist subtext about where our underwear is made and many think the hoaxer could also enjoy the thought of ladies quickly removing their underwear in distress.
