Jessica Biel showed the world her underwear at the A Team Premiere the other night.  The beautiful actress, 28, wore a stunning, elegant red sheer dress, but ruined it by wearing black knickers which you can drastically see!

The Giambattista Valli dress was indeed, outstanding, however critics have said she made 2 mistakes, one wearing a dress the same colour  as the carpet, and the underwear palava.

One thing we do know however, is that she wears sensible underwear!  Jessica wore plain black shorts, and she still managed to look sexy!  Even with the see-through disaster she still wows us all!

The sensible knickers trend with celebrities is getting bigger!  With Zoe Saldana yesterday and Jessica Biel today, soon we’ll all be wearing the comfortable, basic underwear.

Supermodel and actress Zoe Saldana has spoken about her underwear, she prefers simple underwear that enhances natural assets.  She doesn’t like fussy, detailed underwear as she said it ‘outshadows’ the body. 

The Calvin Klein model said that underwear should assist your body, not replace or try to add something to your body.  Basic ranges generally last longer as they are continuity products, and they also can be worn underneath anything, tight, baggy, sportswear etc. 

Wearing a basic bra shows that the wearer is confident in how they look, and they don’t have to overdo it by adding frills and an excessive amount of padding which push your breasts up to your chin! 

I bet Zoe wore extremely comfortable underwear when she was in Pirates of the Carribean under all those clothes!  If she thinks we should wear basic lingerie then I’m going to follow her lead, as she looks fabulous in the new Calvin Klein shoots!

2 sleeps till pay day! Hurray! I’m one of those who cannot budget at all, so by the end of the month I’m living on baked beans and making shopping lists for new clothes I want as soon as it hits the last Friday of the month!

You search and search for that pair of knickers that you wore when you passed your driving test or you found a £20 note on the floor. ‘They’re my lucky knickers’ you say, ‘I need them!’

They’re tatty and frayed, a bit too tight because you’ve pigged out on chocolate recently whilst revising, but you wear them anyway.  What possesses us to think that pants are going to make us pass an exam?  I confess, I put my notes under my pillow, but this is ’inherited’ from my Dad.

A recent survey has shown that 24% of men have lucky knickers, how cute!  Whether they work or not, I do not know!  It must be psychological and the fact that we feel lucky, brings us luck!

The topic of conversation in the office this morning was marriage.  We all have very different views on when you should get married and when we all want to!  I personally, want to get married soon so that I can start picking my dress!

I saw a beautiful dress today, it would be perfect for my birthday night out on Saturday.  One problem, when I tried it on, I realised I would have to wear a thong with it.  It put me off straight away and I didn’t buy it.  There’s just something that makes me shiver about wearing thongs on a night out! I don’t really like them in the day either, I’ll only wear one if it’s a must!

I’ve asked people in the office what they think, and the majority said they much prefer briefs or french knickers.  Shorts/knickers are so much comfier, and so much classier!  Some people said that sometimes you just have to wear thongs – yes I agree but I’d much rather not!

I remember when I bought my first thong, I think I was 12.  I asked my mum and she said no, but I bought one anyway!  I thought I was cool – ha!

Whilst this unpredictable British weather is being, well, unpredictable, as usual, I’m taking every moment the sun comes out to go for a jog! I don’t know about anyone else but I hate going running in the winter when it’s cold and wet!

One thing I did need to buy for this (no gym membership though!) was a good sports bra.  I used to have this battered old one where I used to be flying out all over the place!  So when the new range from Freya came in and the Active Sports Bra was there, I knew I had to buy it.  It came with good reviews so I thought I’d give it a go and compare it to my old wobbler!

I have to say, it was worth it!  It really is extremely comfy and completely straps me in enabling me to run as fast as  I want to, and can even do star jumps to warm up! No more black eyes for me!

Sorry, but I can’t contain my happiness as I have just read that size zero is now OUT! Yey! Apparently girls are now aspiring to have hourglass figures, along with gorgeous celebrities like Kelly Brook and Holly Willoughby. 

Stats show that more and more curve creating underwear is selling rapidly, and cosmetic surgeons have also noticed that people now wish to have curves.

I’ve always had curves, and I used to hate it.  My best friends are walking twigs, and I used to say I wanted to sleep inbetween boulders to squash my hips in!  I’m glad I didn’t now!

There is such a big emphasis on being thin now (even though the majority of the population are overweight) in the younger population, especially those who are interested in fashion and celeb news.  It’s nice to see that finally a trend has started which enables girls to eat normally and hopefully we can see a decrease in the eating disorder rates!

I’m going to flaunt my curves this weekend and wear something hugging – I normally try and hide them wearing basically a sack!

I was talking to a family friend yesterday, and she’s pregnant.  Working for lingerieplease I was intrigued to find out what sort of underwear she was wearing and whether she was comfortable.  Sadly, she had some vile black knickers on that were digging in and didn’t make her look remotely sexy!

Many people say a pregnant woman has that lovely ‘glow’ to her, well you’re not going to if you’re wearing the wrong underwear and its digging in!
