An ACTUAL Safety Bra

Thursday, September 30th, 2010

Oh my word, whatever next?! The lingerie world has now started to join with emergency health accessories?? Yes, I know, what on earth?!  There has been a new invention, it’s a bra that can transform into 2 gas masks!

The bra actually filters out harmful airborne particles, so it allows people to breathe if in any dangerous situations.  The ‘E-bra’ as it is called, shouldn’t be seen as humorous apparently, as it is very serious in health and safety.

“It takes only 25 seconds for every woman to use this protective personal device — 5 seconds to remove, convert and apply your own mask and 20 seconds to wonder who the lucky man is she’s going to save,” Dr. Elena Bodnar, the inventor, said at an Ig Nobel Prize event.

It really is bonkers, imagine smelling gas, whipping your top off and using your bra to cover your nose and mouth?! I really don’t think I’d think to do that!

Trinny and Susannah: Don’t Wear That!

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

Style gurus Trinny Woodal and Susannah Constantine are coming back! And what a better way to come back, than to feel an Australian TV presenters boobs on live TV!?

Their trademark boob-feel is quite humorous, however people think it is ridiculous and inappropriate.  On the other hand, T and S say that they can measure a women’s bra size this way!

Trinny and Susannah were in Australia filming a ‘how to fit the perfect bra’ segment, and lo and behold, Susannah had an extremely low cut dress on, flashing her own bra! Whether this was accidental we do not know, however I do know that it may be a little inappropriate for early morning television!

With Susannah sporting a low cut dress and a cracking cleavage, we really can see that having a cleavage is big this season! Literally, the bigger, the better!  Browse the Lingerie Please site for fabulous push up bras and all your favourite underwear styles!

Their new show, Trinny and Susannah: What They Did Next is airing tomorrow! Don’t miss it!

DVF Forgets Her Bra!

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

Diane Von Furstenberg – (for sake of me typing quickly = DVF) is inspiration us all.  The 63 year old is best known for her iconic wrap dress, and her lines are worn by many celebrities such as Ashley Olsen, the legendary Anna Wintour and, one of my faves, SJP.

In 2005, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) awarded the ex-princess a lifetime achievement award and in 2006 she was awarded presidency.  She has inspired so many designers, and is symbolic in the fashion industry.

However, she may be fabulous, but she doesn’t think she can leave the house without a bra does she?  Now it’s OK to not wear a bra if you have nipple stickers or fashion tape etc, but maybe not if you have a practically sheer dress! DVF wore a thin black dress for Milan Fashion Week with a fur jacket over the top, but the jacket was opened, and her boobs were dreadfully on show!  Fasten the jacket up!

She really is fantastic, for over 40 years she has been designing some amazing lines and ranges, you’d think she’d know better surely!? Don’t forget your underwear Diane! Lingerie Please will have to help you out!

The Saturday’s Go All Out Underwear!

Monday, September 27th, 2010

The Saturday’s are envied by millions; they were just normal girls who could sing a little, and now they have their own TV show, perform live, and have the paparazzi following their every move.  They also have fantastic clothes.. (usually!)

Frankie Sandford, Mollie King, Una Healy, Rochelle Wiseman and Vanessa White certainly took the underwear as outerwear trend literally and had their bras completely on show whilst performing in London last weekend.

The girls had multi-coloured outfits on, each with a different bra on show.  Usually, the trend is to have your lingerie showing a little, so that people can still wonder what’s there and you leave a little for imagination, however, there is no imagination here!

The stars all look fabulous, but maybe a little bit too revealing for a concert that children will watch too?!  Me, I’m just jealous of their figures, and I also love Frankie’s new hair!

Katy Perry on Sesame Street!

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

Sesame Street is one of all our favourite childhood memories.  Personally, I love the Cookie Monster: Nomnomnommnomm…’  Anyway, Katy Perry stars on the classic program, chasing Elmo around to a friendly version of her number one single; Hot N Cold.

This all sounds fab, with Perry trying to get into the kids market etc, however, wearing a lime green bustier is probably not the right outfit choice for the star.  As she is chasing Elmo around, her bustier shows off the cone shaped breasts and it is rather revealing.  Now obviously Lingerie Please loves a bit of lingerie as clothing, however maybe not on a kids am show?

The fact that millions of children will watch Sesame Street, many parents are outraged that it has been shown on YouTube.  It was due to be aired on New Years Eve, however producers have become nervous and have decided not to show it.

Many of parents commented saying that it was disgusting how her cleavage could be shown on television on a childrens tv programme, however, Katy did have her followers who said that all children have to see breasts at some point!  If she had just worn a vest and a basic t-shirt bra if she had to be a bit revealing, but i’m guessing the parents want her in a polo neck jumper!

This bustier/corset isn’t the nicest I’ve seen Katy Perry in, however it would have been good to see her singing with Elmo, discussing opposites rather than men being hot and cold!

Fashionable on the inside too!

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

With London Fashion Week coming to an end, I’ve been thinking what underwear is actually fashionable, and practical at the same time. Lingerie Please is here to help!

There’s obviously the Triumph inspirational lingerie awards, in which designers from all over the world designed some outrageous underwear, however it’s not practical to wear underneath your work attire is it!?

I began to wonder whether the best underwear to wear would be a simple yet classic t shirt bra, with a plunging shape so that your cleavage looks fab, and there are no seams or prints on the outside.

I have the Gossard Georgiana Bra, and I think it is fabulous. Not only does it look great, it also makes me feel feminine, and trendy at the same time as the colours and style are very in this season! The matching items such as the suspender belt may be a little too much for me just as underwear, however I think the stockings/suspender look should be desired by all!

Other bang on trend products we have are: Henry Holland Lace Body, the Freya Arabella Plunge Bra, and obviously all the other push up bras we have to make that cleavage fantastic!

Have fun shopping fashionistas! xxx

Catwalk Fashion = The Huge Cleavage!

Tuesday, September 21st, 2010

So London Fashion Week is in full motion, and I cannot wait to go this week!! To see the extreme catwalks and the outfits some of the most inspiring people in the world have put together.

We all know fashion from time to time can be extreme, I myself remember when footless tights and leggings came back from the 70′s, and people were in shock and asking where the foot was! Now they’re everywhere!

I’m one of those that religiously buys fashion magazines and sits and reads the same issue until the ink is no longer on the page.  When I was browsing the magazines in the Mailbox Tesco, I saw a pair of boobs staring at me.  Christina Hendricks was on the cover of Grazia, with a huge cleavage on show.  This seems to be the latest fashion accessory this season, as seen on the catwalks too by designers such as Prada and Louis Vuitton.  The most seen dresses and tops to enhance the cleavage are low low cut dresses, and square low necked tops to show your chest and make you look fabulous!

To follow this new trend that simply ‘uplifts’ you, you need a push up bra, and a good one at that! Lingerie Please have a fantastic range of push up and gel bras to give you a great cleavage, have a look at the selection by clicking here! I’d recommend the Wonderbra Multiplunge Bra, the Gossard Squeeze Me Superboost Plunge Bra and also the Wonderbra Lace Gel Push Up In Black/Skin

If you see yourself of some sort of a fashionista, then you need to push your boobs up, and push them up high!

Its A Shoulder Padded Cleavage Extravaganza!

Monday, September 20th, 2010
Inspired by Madonna, shoulder pad lingerie has always seemed like it was made for the musicals. Now we can all look fabulous, as Jean Paul Gaultier has made a shoulder padded bra that will lift your bust and give your clothes the edge with its built in shoulder pads.
The bra may look rather odd, sort of a back brace with straps going here there and everywhere, but it does look fantastic when clothes are put over it!
Madonnas cone bra was envied by all, now this look is the new envy!
Shoulder pads come and go in fashion, with winter always being the main shoulder pad frenzy time, it’s the perfect time to get your easy pads and bra now!
The bra is a tad expensive, however it is totally different to any other bra you will have previously bought! I’m sure other brands will also follow this trend soon!
I don’t know about anybody else but I frequently find that when I wear a shoulder padded top/jumper, my bra feels uncomfortable, this wouldn’t happen with this fab bra!
I hope to see you all with a gorgeous cleavage and sharp, edgy shoulders!

We Love Alexandra Burke!

Friday, September 17th, 2010

Lingerie Please are loving Alexandra Burke this week! Last night she attended the new shoe department opening at Selfridges, the largest in the world stocking over 30 amazing brands and was surrounded by the likes of Lisa Snowdon, Donna Air and fashion royalty in the form of Vivienne Westwood. Jealous? Us, never!

Alexandra is also currently leading the midweek charts with her new single ‘Start Without You’ and there is no doubt that she looks absolutely rocking in the video, wearing a very racy Henry Holland Lace Body. Henry Holland’s gorgeous collaboration with Pretty Polly is one of my favourites right now. It’s fresh, innovative and so eccentric. It definitely brings something new to the fashion circuit, and it’s sure to be a big hit. So make sure that you don’t miss out!

Looks like Alex loved the body as much as we did, as we’ve also spotted her wearing this little number on stage.

A girl that can do no wrong in the fashion stakes and with the world at her feet! Let’s hope she goes stomping to number one this week.

Good Luck Alex and Happy Friday xxx

Bridal Secrets!

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

Lingerie Please have been doing a little research into bridal lingerie; the cost, the styles and the secrets of the brides!

Over 200 people entered the survey, so thanks for your entries!  We’ve analysed the results and it amused us for a while!  We really wanted to know whether brides still follow the traditions, and what they actually prefer at their wedding!

The traditional bride has ‘Something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.’  These brides also follow the stockings, hold ups and garters styles, and we saw that 88% of our brides would or have worn stockings or hold ups over tights.  Tights may be the fashionista’s new favourite accessory, but the bridal outfits still see the bit of bare leg.  Whether this is to appear sexy for their husband, or for comfort, we’ll have to find out in another survey!

86% of you wore a matching set of lingerie on your wedding day, phew!  I have to say, I’m a sucker for a cute matching number!  The average cost of the underwear was £50-100, probably the cheapest wedding accessory!  65% of you didn’t change your underwear between the ceremony and the night do, which I’m actually quite shocked about, I think I’m going to buy about 4 gorgeous sets and wear them all throughout the day!  For those outrageous ones out there, 2% of you didn’t wear underwear at all!  Stockings, a suspender belt and no underwear would be interesting I guess? :/

On that perfect special day, we all want to feel, well perfect.  Feeling perfect can also mean looking slimmer than usual, and a shocking 61% of you would wear knickers that were too tight if it meant you looked slimmer!  I’m all for looking super skinny, but I think I’d prefer wearing shapewear, that way no muffin tops and on display and I can breathe and sit down!

The dress is a major part of a brides wedding planning, and something we can keep forever.  55% of you would rather have a gorgeous dress over a fantastic, passionate night with your husband.  However, a hilarious 82% of you would rather have a naughty night than have good emotional speeches or a yummy cake!  Now who can say Britain is an obese country, we don’t want the cake!!
