Christmas time is a key season for lingerie, as men love to buy their women a sexy set or two!

What they don’t seem to realise, is that we’re not a great fan of red!  Red must be a colour men associate with being sexy and seductive, however they need to understand that the red pvc, lace and bows they like, is not what we feel sexy in!

When a man is buying lingerie as a gift, they need to go off what their lady already wears.  if she always wears pale coloured, girly lingerie, there’s no point in buying her a dark purple velvet  corset and thong with a suspender belt and stockings is there?!

Women do however, like it when their partner uses their own initiative and tastes to pick something for them!  So although we don’t want the tacky lingerie you find sexy, we do want you to pick something yourself boys!  Please don’t get the cute sales assistant in the store or your best mates girlfriend to send you the link to some gorgeous lingerie from Lingerieplease!

Also, for the Christmas period, we will be wearing shapewear to suck us in, we still want to be comfortable in our Sloggi Basic Maxi Briefs, and we will be wearing some weird bra solutions accessories from Braza!  So get used to it!

As I always say, I hate black clothing with white lingerie underneath — it looks wrong.

Why wear white underwear, when you have black?  On the other hand, I’d probably still wear a black bra with light coloured clothing, unless it was a smart do!

Michelle Keegan, from Coronation Street, attended the the annual United For Unicef gala dinner at Manchester United’s Old Trafford ground last night, and for once, she didn’t make a great impression.

From the front, she looked stunning in a floor length black gown, however, when she turned around, white underwear was showing through the sheer fabric!  White shorts under a black dress are not a good look!

The shorts actually look like the Triumph Amourette Maxi Brief, or the Sloggi Basic Maxi Brief!

It seems Michelle is also a fan of Bridget Jones style pants!  I think I need to send the Corrie star some black lingerie!

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen paraded round St Barts yesterday in the shortest shorts possible!  These hotpants/knickers were accompanied by a white vest and beige jacket and Vivienne Westwood boots, so not exactly what you’d thing about teaming with knicker shorts!

I wonder if she forgot her trousers?  I suppose it’s a good job she wasn’t wearing a thong!

She used to model for Victoria’s Secret, so I guess she’s used to showing off her body!  And as she’s the highest paid model in the world, she can pretty much do and wear what she likes!

If she can waltz around in hotpants and lingerie, so can we!

Are we becoming boring underneath?  We’re all so fashion conscious on the outside, yet it seems we all wear boring and comfortable knickers under these fabulous garments.

We’ve been looking at our best sellers over the past 3 years, and it appears that the main products we sell are basic and comfortable lingerie!  The Sloggi Maxi Brief, and the Maxi Brief 4 pack, along with the Sloggi Romance Midi Brief are the top sellers, with the Triumph Amourette range following.

Sloggi and Triumph are by far the best selling brands, and we can’t seem to order enough!

Our main customer is thirty-something, so what happened the 30 fun and flirty?!  Looking like Bridget Jones, the sexy lingerie seems to have been pushed to the back of the underwear drawer!

Lady Gaga is well known for her raunchy and outrageous outfit choices, and she’s also known as being a drama queen!

Being the full blown diva, Gaga has now said she will only wear 100% silk knickers, and is moving onto the idea that all her lingerie should be silk.

She’s replaced all her old knickers, and has banned all polyester, cotton and lycra, with the newly demanded silk ones — which has added up to an astonishing £7000!  It’s driving her assistant crazy, she’s really taking this fetish seriously.

She said that the silk feels soft on her skin, and allows her skin to breathe, which will allow her to be more creative with her songs, and more efficient.  If you say so Gaga!

Rock chick rebel Courtney Love has been up to her old mischievous antics again by posting risque photos on her twitter.

Kissing a female friend on one, and then posing in her lingerie on others, she’s obviously not stopped with the partying and silly behaviour!

On an armchair in brown bra and knickers, the rocker is obviously, off her rocker at this point!  She has previously blamed alcohol and anti-depressants for her behaviour, and we all really hope she can pull herself together!

The 46 year old does still look great, with a slim and toned figure, however, a stunt like this is definitely not appropriate for someone her age, or anyone for that matter!

It’s always hilarious to see celeb’s lingerie mistakes, especially when their knickers are showing or it’s just a disaster.  Well, this is both!

Eva Longoria has always looked classy and elegant, and she did on the red carpet at the MTV Awards in Madrid.  From the front that is!

When she turned around, her knickers were showing through a gap in the back of the black satin dress she was wearing.  The maid style dress was very big and flamboyant from the front, but there was little evidence of much clothing at all from the rear!

Showing big Bridget-Jones like knickers, Eva managed to quickly lose that sexy and sophisticated look!

It’s an unusual day when you hear of someone making their breasts look smaller, even more so when it’s a celebrity!  Normally, the celebs love showing their figure in lingerie!

Katy Perry was recently in a shoot for VH1, and she was photoshopped to make her cleavage look smaller.  The shoot is for a show in California that honours America’s servicemen and women, with Katy and a few others such as Keri Hilson and Nicki Minaj performing there.

I’m always bombarded with calls and emails asking for the best push up bras, gel bras and plunge bras, rather than the other way around!  People with larger busts just seem to enjoy it! (Unless they’re ridiculously jaw droppingly huge that is!)  When people are conscious of a larger bust, we recommend unpadded bras with underwiring which give great support and don’t make the bust look larger.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are set to marry next year, after William proposed with a very special ring.

He gave Kate his mother’s, Diana, ring to ask for his hand in marriage – so sweet!  He proposed in Kenya last month while they were on holiday there, and they are planning the wedding for sometime next year.

Now what we all want to know, is what is stylish Kate’s dress going to look like, and I want to know of course, what bridal lingerie is she going to choose?

I’d be happy to send her lots and lots of choice from our fabulous wedding underwear section!

Rihanna is truly stunning; her beautiful hair, face and clothes always makes her look fabulous!

Imagine my delight when I saw photo’s of her performance in Milan for Italian X Factor, wearing a long line bra and knickers!  She looked amazing, and her performance was fantastic!

Long line bras are huge this season, topping off the underwear as outerwear trend to the max, the top-like bra is sexy and sophisticated.  Teamed with high waisted skirts and shorts, you can look like a true fashionista too, just like the celebs!

My favourite long line bra is the Ooh La La Longline Plunge from Gossard, and match it up with the thong and suspender for a super stylish look!
