Holly Willoughby has been named the nations favourite cleavage. The This Morning presenter has beaten stars such as Scarlett Johansson and Beyonce. Can you believe Holly nicknamed Holly Willobooby by comedian Avid Merrion has won this award past all of those celebrities! Here at Lingerie Please we think the outcome is great! Not only does it inspire real women with real figures to be confident about there bodies but it also says a lot for the attitude of men. It goes to show that we should be happy with our figures as men like women that look real and have a natural non cosmetically enhanced figure this is proved by the other choices Scarlett Johansson and Beyonce who as far as we are aware haven’t had any cosmetic surgery either.

Recent pictures of the stunning Victoria Beckham in her lingerie recently emerged. Here at the Lingerie Please office we were shocked to see a caption alongside her saying that she stands for the general public and so tries on all of her designs. Now we have to presume this lady was talking about her height as she went on to mention the 6 foot models she usually uses in her catwalk campaigns.Victoria surely couldn’t have been talking about her weight as the model is such a small size that there is definitely no way she represents the average woman. The average size of a woman in the UK is around a size 12 or 14.

Victoria looked gorgeous in a one piece swimsuit and later in a bra and a pair of high waisted knickers in her new shoot for Harpers Bazaar for the jubilee edition. We think Victoria always looks amazing no matter what she wears and we don’t blame her for wanting to try on her own designs as they are gorgeous!

Mad Men is an American television series set in the 1960s and based around an advertising agency. The series highlights the sexism problems of being a women working in the 1960s and is all about powerful women some of whom use there sexuality to get to where they want to be. The fashion is amazing and the old adverts such as the 60s lingerie adverts recently showed in the ad breaks of the remake.

Susannah Reid from BBC Breakfast Show has come under scrutiny by viewers in recent months for showing off her cleavage. The newsreader is always suitably covered up perhaps with a v-neck or a scoop neck but never anything that would be offensive to the general public. Just a normal top worn by a woman blessed with a larger bust.

The question we beg to ask is why are women with larger breasts considered as flirty or ‘flirting like a schoolgirl’ as the newsreader was called in a recent interview because she was wearing a scoop neck? A perfectly modest scoop neck may I add.

These stereotypes are carried on by men and women alike who seem to think that a larger bust means that you are somehow deficient in intelligence yet abundant with outrageous flirty behaviour. Are we to carry on these unfair stereotypes for ever?

In fact the best response was ‘People seem to be shocked that women have breasts’ by Newsreader Susanna Reid. We should be celebratory of our assets if we have them, but other people shouldn’t define us by them.

A day has come I think a lot of people didn’t think they would see, the Kardashian sisters in there lingerie promoting a new venture. The sisters look fantastic in bra and knicker sets. Khloe Kardashian looks especially lovely in a basque. All of them in the recently publicised pictures are wearing black stockings and suspenders. In another picture Kim is pictured alone in a pair of satin panties that look great in a pale pink colour for a more playful shot.

We at Lingerie Please think the pictures are great as they are promoting more of a positive body image to young girls. Although the pictures may have been airbrushed, there fuller figures are more similar to our figures today and help to dispel negative images created by the media and magazines of what we should be.

The creator of Spanx Sara Blakely has made it on to the Forbes rich list. Last week the 41 year old made it to billionaire status reaching the Forbes rich list from an idea that started when she was wearing some white trouser and she decided to cut the fit off some shaping tights. 

Since then Spanx has gone global, more and more products are added all the time targeting every area of the body from bingo wings to that extra tyre. Not only that the celebrities are loving them too and we are loving them for it! Celebrities such as Beyonce and Sarah Jessica Parker have been seen wearing the cult shaping pants to show us they are normal like the rest of us!

So what is the future for shapewear? Well the new trends as shown by Kate Winslet on the red carpet are heading in the direction of the perfect hourglass.
