An interesting story that caught my eye recently, talked about March being a month where people did two things the most. The first being partying and the second involves springing into shape!

Last Night saw Nicki Minaj, stepping out of her hotel in London in just a bejewelled bra, wearing a small cropped denim jacket over the top. The bra seemed to be struggling with the weight of her cleavage. A poor baby seal found on Lovers Island in New Zealand was found by an onlooker and thought to be in trouble; thankfully he rang the Department of Conservation who came to rescue the distressed seal, however they did have to hike up a cliff 130 meters and spend an hour in the dark removing, to their shock, a red G-string that must have been left on the beach which is commonly known as ‘lovers island’. So the moral of this story, next time you are on a romantic holiday make sure you take your belongings home, as who knows where they will end up! Christian Louboutin and YSL have been battling it out in a New York court room over the claim that YSL plagiarised the famous signature of Christian Louboutins red soles. Yesterday it was finally confirmed that Louboutin can trademark the specific well known colour for the soles of his shoes. His shoes have been known to attract many stars such as Lady Gaga and Victoria Beckham. Previously it was ruled that no colour can be trademarked, but with this being the fashion industry and colour playing a vital part to all of our ascetics, the court decided to alter the trademarking rules in favour of the Louboutin brand.

The luxurious shoes made a debut on the series Sex and The City, which has a following of fashion-worshipping fans and helped further the brands awareness. Christian Louboutin’s brand has continued to grow and now sells up to 240,000 pairs each year and that is just in America alone! They have a rumoured annual revenue of $135 million. Typically a pair of Louboutin shoes starts retailing at £450 and can go up to £800. However there is one exception to getting around this new court ruling, if you want a red sole but cannot afford a gorgeous pair of Louboutins then the court ruled in favour of YSL’s all red shoe including the sole. YSL did admit that a flash of a red sole only is widely known to be associated with the Christian Louboutin brand. There has been much debate over what is thought to be sexy underwear. Bjorn Borg brand conducted a survey asking women and men worldwide what they think is attractive. Naturally women preferred romantic feminine underwear, whilst men said anything that was flirtatious and a bit naughty.

Looking at the survey opinions differed between women worldwide, with the French proving to be the sexiest of us all. It also showed that Spanish women were rather daring when it came to their choice of sexy underwear and catered to what men liked. Other parts of Europe such as Germany and Sweden preferred plain and simple underwear, which equated to men as boring and frumpy.

Lots of women claimed that they stepped up their underwear choice when going on a date, but I am afraid that British men may be disappointed to know that us British women had the lowest score when it came to choosing sexy underwear for a dinner date. It is only dinner after all!

The Kardashian sisters will be releasing their ready-to-wear clothing and handbag range later this year. The collection will hit stores owned by Sir Phillip Green, BHS and Dorothy Perkins. The Kardashian’s rose to fame with their hit reality TV show Keeping up with the Kardashians. As well as retailing in the UK their collection will hit 13 other countries whilst already being on sale in a US department store. Sir Philip Green said ‘I felt there was an excellent fit for Dorothy Perkins.
