Shock Absorber Max Sports Bra (D+)

Shock Absorber Max Sports Bra (D+)

The benefits of a good sports bra are that they can improve performance and also increase comfort whilst exercising.

More women are choosing to workout as part of there weekly regime without being sports players or playing a particular sport to improve there health and sometimes change there weight. With all of these new challenges ahead we need all the support we can get and that starts with a great sports bra.

Sports bras help maintain proper form when exercising meaning that whilst jumping and exercising vigorously the correct support is given to the breasts to ensure that they don’t cause any pain or obstruct you in any way.

A great sport bra can not only increase comfort, but also over time can improve your posture due to it being a compression garment. A great sports bra is very important when exercising and we have a great range for you!

Lingerie Please recommends the Shock Absorber Max Sports Bra (D+) especially if you have a larger bust to improve posture and performance when your exercising.

It’s Time To Give Something Up

Thursday, March 10th, 2011

It’s that time of year again that we dread, Lent.  We give something up that we love for 40 days, only to find that after the 40days, we despise it.

I’ve given up chocolate, and I’ve done extremely well these past 48hours! I also joked saying that I was giving up the gym, however, it needs to be the other way around!

It’s approaching summer, we need to be thinking about our bikini bods, and I for one am going to get my sports bra out and hit the gym, hard!  Don’t get me wrong, I hate the gym as much as any other sane person, but when I see people like Nicole Murphy (Eddie Murphy’s ex wife) in an exercise bra and shorts, with her toned abs – I get jealous!

Why don’t you all follow suit and get a Shock Absorber Sports Bra today, some Ronhill Shorts and get running!? :)

Lingerie please xx

Sports Bras ARE Cool

Thursday, February 10th, 2011

Due to my recent joining of the gym, I decided I needed a sports bra after being extremely uncomfortable!  I’ve always had a thing about how ugly they are, but I now know they are truly needed!

I bought the Triumph Tri-Action Extreme Bra – and it really is amazing!  I liked how it looks cool too, with the red piping, grey detailing and the thick black band which supports you amazingly and ensures comfort.  The thick straps mean that there’s no digging in too!

Alessandra Ambrosio was spotted at the gym earlier today, sporting a very similar sports bra – see, I told you they’re cool!  If a supermodel can wear one, then we all definitely can!

Here at Lingerie Please, we’ve also just got a new sports bra in, that is on special offer too! – the Triumph Tri-Action Soft Power.  Just because the price is lower, doesn’t mean the way it works is any worse though!  It feels great, and if you prefer a plainer and all white bra – this is for you!

Get exercising with your sports bras now!

Control Yourself! – Why You Should Wear A Sports Bra…

Tuesday, August 11th, 2009

As a young, developing girl I had a very wise friend who advised me not to wear underwired bras before I needed too. She told me I’d get ‘weird boobs’ if I did, and that was enough to put me off for a while… So the two of us stuck sports bras until we wear a little older.

The reasons behind her thoughtful advice never seemed to be of importance to me until recently, when I discovered that what she told me may have prevented me from suffering premature sagging of the breasts.

The science behind it all starts with the way the breasts are formed. The natural support structure of the breast is made up by the ‘Cooper’s ligaments’ with the only other supportive feature being the skin. If young girls wear underwired bras too early in development it may prevent these ligaments from building up strength as they rely on the bra from the start. By wearing sports bras it allows the ligaments to strengthen and the breasts will have a fighting chance in the future!

Once the breasts are fully developed underwired bras no longer pose a threat so buy them until your hearts content! Problems occur in fully developed breasts during things such as exercise. As the body moves the breasts can often go through great trauma if not secured correctly. The excessive movement can easily cause irreversible stretching to the Cooper’s ligaments which it turn will make the breasts sag.

Why spend hours working out if one of the out comes is saggy boobs?! You’re meant to be improving your body with exercise, not ruining it! To prevent this dreadful out come, ensure you have a fully supportive sports bra. Research has shown that by wearing a correctly fitting sports bra movement of the breasts during exercise, such as running, reduces by up to 25% compared to when wearing a normal bra. This in turn reduces the damage to your all important supportive ligaments and lessens the risk of irreversible (without surgery) saggy breasts! Try our Tri-Action Extreme Bra today!
